Brothers, Sisters and friends… it is with great pleasure that the XI Alumni Association announces the continuing legacy of our chapter at Lyndon State College!
Things were rough and troubled to say the least no more than 4 months ago. Two men…Two Brothers, who had not been active members for even a full semester, returned for the Spring semester with hope and fear.
Fear of seeing the great chapter left in their hands (with no direction, no finances, and little to no understanding of how to rush or pledge) go dormant after 51 years. And Hope of finding a way to help get the chapter back on its feet and last another 51 years.
The XI Alumni Association came to their aid and gave them the tools to make one last golden effort to keep the chapter alive… And they succeeded in amazing fashion! Bringing in the biggest class XI has seen in over a decade!
On a windy Sunday night in May, Active Brothers Jesse Whitaker, and Joe Quaranta alongside a multigenerational gathering of Proud Alumni to observe and advise saw the passing of EIGHT new Brothers into Kappa Delta Phi. Each one a character, each one showing the want to become a new hope for our chapter. Each one proud to bleed Black and Gold, and at 1:26 AM on May 9 th, they proved it!
To say it was an emotional night for the Alumni present would be an understatement… To see something we all love and hold as the core of who we are, hanging on by a string, a string many have said was better left to fray, to come back in such fashion was reminiscent to the day we all became Brothers ourselves. Worth a smile and a tear.
In the Fall TEN Brothers will return to Campus, and right off the bat show a dominance not seen in years… Please consider now heading up to Lyndon State College and help the Actives with a staple of our chapter… MOVE IN DAY… 10 actives and at least 10 NO at least 20 Alumni…swarming the campus in Black and Gold, Proudly showing LOVE for our Fraternity, Chapter, and College. Showing strength in numbers and the TRUTH that people from all walks of life can gather together with a common goal … and Lastly, proving our DESTINY to be the longest running chapter in Kappa Delta Phi history!
